Background
Nepal and UK are celebrating 200-years of their relationship by organising various programmes during 2015-16. Nepalese Caterers Association, UK—in cooperation with the Embassy of Nepal, London— published a Souvenir/Directory entitled ‘Taste of Nepal UK’ compiling information about the Nepalese Restaurants all over the UK. This website also carried information from that book.
Aim: To introduce Nepalese cuisine to every community in the UK To help standardise Nepalese cuisine and make them popular To help popularise authentic Nepali dishes To give latest news about the Nepalese food industry, industry trend and rules and regulations concerning the catering business in the UK
Objectives: 1. The main objective of this website is to provide information about Nepalese Restaurants in the UK to the British citizens, diplomatic community and all the patrons who visit Nepalese restaurants. 2. The website will give a brief account of how Nepalese restaurants evolved in the UK and were able to build their unique identity.. 3. The website will also highlight unique and popular dishes being served by the Nepalese restaurants in the UK and regularly publish recipes of popular Nepali dishes so as to authenticate and standardise them.
